Below we provide a brief summary of the key documents and terms used for this project. You can also read more about our current strategies on Council's website.
Council Plan 2025 – 2029, incorporating the Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan
The Council Plan is our roadmap for how we are working towards achieving the Community Vision. It sets our strategic directions for the next four years, guiding where we put our focus and effort. It also informs the revision of our 10-year financial plan.
This Council Plan incorporates Knox’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan. This ensures the priorities for supporting, protecting and improving the health and wellbeing of our community are at the forefront of everything we do and are integrated across all council services and initiatives
Currently we are asking the community to validate what we have heard is important to them and if there are any priorities missing. The Community Panel will consider this feedback when making recommendations to Council.
Community Vision 2021 – 2031
Knox: where we connect with our people and our environment, ensuring they are safe, supported and have every opportunity to thrive.
Our Community Vision describes our long-term hopes and aspirations for Knox. It helps to plan for the needs of our community now and into the future. It’s based on the idea that by creating a picture of the future that we all agree to, we can all make a shared commitment to work together to get there.
Currently we are asking the community to reflect what this Vision means for them. The Community Panel will consider this feedback when making recommendations to Council.
The Community Plan 2021 - 2031
The Community Plan was developed with our community and stakeholders. It includes a Community Vision and describes what we all need to focus on over the next 10 years to get there.
For the first time Council is consolidating it’s Community Plan into the revised Council Plan 2025-29. This will ensure that our strategic direction demonstrates progress towards our community’s ten-year aspirations. It provides a simpler strategic framework with a strong focus on our community’s health and wellbeing.
