Thanks to community members who provided their feedback on the draft concept design for the Marie Wallace Playground Renewal from 24 February to 18 March 2026.

Community feedback showed the draft concept is broadly supported and still matches the priorities from Phase 1. The community responded well to the planned play upgrades and water play, while also pointing out practical improvements such as better accessibility, more shade, safer movement and clearer support for all age groups.

Feedback also shows families care deeply about how the playground will best support community needs operationally– noting the following priorities - safe access, support for children with disability and neurodiverse needs, good play options for young and older children, and spaces that stay comfortable in warm weather.

Council will use Phase 2 feedback to refine the concept design and guide the next stage of the project.
