There were four playgrounds that you were able to have your say on:

• Coleman Road Reserve, Wantirna South
  
• Knox Gardens Reserve, Wantirna South
  
• Knox Athletics, Knoxfield
  
• Sovereign Crest Reserve, Rowville

Across the four engagements, we received 788 website page visits and 105 survey responses.

A summary of the feedback is as follows:

Coleman Reserve playground renewal, Wantirna South

There were 27 survey responses for this playground with 60% positive sentiment.

Some of the comments included:

• Love the new combination unit
  
• Love the balance beams and the mudstone rocks
• Needs more picnic tables and seats

Knox Gardens Reserve playground renewal, Wantirna

There were 22 survey responses for this playground with all responses either positive (68%) or neutral (32%).

Some of the comments included:

• Needs improved access to playground using stairs
  
• Love the new swings
• Spinner instead of rocker

Knox Athletics playsgroundrenewal, Knoxfield

There were 25 responses for this playground with 56% positive sentiment

Some of the comments included:

• Play unit needs to be bigger
  
• Love the combination unit
• More variety for older children

Sovereign Crest Reserve playround renewal, Rowville

There were 34 survey responses for this playground with 61% positive sentiment.

Some of the comments included:

• Please add basketball half court
  
• Needs more picnic tables and seats
• Love the new combination unit

Next steps

The Open Space team will use your feedback to develop final concept designs for each playground upgrade. Designs will be available for review in November after the Council election. Construction of the playground upgrades will commence in 2025.
*Please note, construction on the Coleman Reserve Playground will not begin until early 2026.
