At the 29 January Council meeting, Council endorsed the new awards program, named the ‘Knox Community Awards’.

The new Awards recognise and celebrate the valuable contribution volunteers make to our community.

The award categories are:

• Knox Volunteer of the Year
• Knox Community Organisation of the Year
• Outstanding Volunteer Service
• Recognition of Years of Service.

The awards ceremony will align with National Volunteer Week, Australia's largest annual celebration of volunteering, which this year runs from 20-26 May.

Nominations will be open between 5 February to 1 April 2024 on our Knox Community Awards webpage.
