Help shape the future of two local art murals in Bayswater and The Basin

Council is reinvigorating two much-loved murals in Bayswater and The Basin — each with its own unique story and future.

Bayswater

The mural on the water tank at Marie Wallace Bayswater Park in Bayswater is set to be completely reimagined. This is a chance to start fresh — we’re seeking your input to guide the direction and theme of a brand-new artwork.

The Basin

The Chandler Oak mural, located on the exterior wall of Rainy Day Books (1301 Mountain Highway, The Basin).

The artwork will undergo one of two options:

  • Restoration: a replication that preserves the original design
  • Refreshing: a contemporary interpretation that stays true to the spirit of the original
