Each year we review the Mayor and Councillor's allowances in line with guidelines provided to us in the Local Government Act.

For the 2021-22 financial year we are proposing to maintain current levels:

• Councillors - $31,334 per annum plus the equivalent of the superannuation guarantee contribution (currently 9.5% and increasing to 10% from 1/7/2021)
• Mayor - $100,434 per annum plus the equivalent of the superannuation guarantee contribution (currently 9.5% and increasing to 10% from 1/7/2021 )

We invite you to give us feedback on the proposed Mayoral and Councillor allowances.

Everyone who sends us a written submission may have their submission heard by our Councillors and are entitled to appear in person or may represented by a person acting on their behalf.

Submissions are not confidential and will be incorporated in full (including all personal information, unless indicated otherwise) in the agenda and minutes of the Council Meeting at which they are considered, and will be available on our website as part of the relevant agenda and minutes of that meeting.

If you would like to give feedback or prepare a submission for Councillors to consider, there are a number of ways you can do this. Comments and submissions can be submitted until 5pm 1 June 2021.

If you would like to present your submission in person to Council (or have someone speak on your behalf), you must let us know when you submit your submission. The meeting to hear submissions will be held on Monday 28 June 2021 at 7pm.

Note: The meeting will be streamed live via Council’s website, including any verbal submissions made at the meeting.
