Community consultation closed Sunday 12 October 2025
We're sought community feedback on the draft Knox Mobility and Access Action Plan (KMAAP) 2025-2036 — a 10-year roadmap to make moving around Knox easier and safer for everyone. The plan will guide capital works investment to improve access to key facilities and destinations for people with restricted mobility.
For the second phase of community engagement, we wanted to check to confirm the draft Plan reflected community input. The draft Plan was shaped by community feedback from our 2024 consultation, which included surveys, workshops, site visits with directly impacted community members, and audits across Knox.

Engagement Plan
We are identifying if the proposed actions reflect the current and future community needs and investment priorities and funding allocation to support better access to public places.
By reviewing feedback as provided by our community and presenting this to inform Council’s response to this feedback prior to endorsing the Mobility and Access Action Plan.
People with disability, people using mobility aids, people with mobility issues, aging community, young families using prams, general community.
For this project we will be engaging our community at the level of Consult on the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) Spectrum. This means we will listen to what you say and consider it when we make a decision.
