The meeting next Monday 19 June will be held as a full meeting of Council (instead of the originally scheduled Special Planning Committee meeting) to allow for Public Question Time.

The report contains details of the service review, detailed financial modelling, as well as the statements prepared by the community panel. Council will consider all this information in its decision.

The report contains the recommendation that Council formally consider Option 2 - Remain a sessional kindergarten provider in the two Early Years Hubs only. This option provides the greatest balance between Council’s responsibility for delivering social benefit for the community and returns of investing in early learning, while managing its risks and financial sustainability into the future.
