Plan adopted by Council

2 March 2022

Thank you for your interest in this project. We adopted the 2021-2025 Domestic Animal Management Plan at the 28 February 2022 Council meeting. View our media release to find out more.

Pets are important in our community, and ensuring that we balance the needs and expectations from both pet and non-pet owners has been a key focus when we developed this plan.

During community consultation in 2021, we had over 3,400 participants. Pet and non-pet owners, local businesses shared their feedback on various topics and issues. This Plan addresses key issues identified by community members for a range of matters relating to responsible pet ownership in Knox.

The Community Engagement Summary Report for Phase 2 shares the outcomes of the community engagement.

Over the next four years, we will be building and enhancing our initiatives and services to better manage cats and dogs in our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in shaping this plan for our community.
