We are committed to supporting an active and healthy community. As part of this commitment, we are upgrading the playground at Carrington Park, Knoxfield. This project is supported by the Parks Revitalisation Grant Program from the Victorian Government’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).
In March 2021, we consulted with the local community and received a total of 58 responses. A concept plan for the proposed playground upgrade has been developed in response to the feedback. There are a number of other reserve upgrades being planned, that when combined, will enhance the surrounding landscape, improve connectivity, improve public open space amenity, and provide safe and welcoming spaces for families to enjoy.
The proposed plan includes:
- the relocation of the existing playground to a more central area
- exciting new play and exercise equipment for all age groups
- picnic shelter with seating
- nature play elements
