Welcome to your shared workbook

Thank you for joining the session on 16 April 2025. One of our goals in running this consultation as a deliberative panel is the value in each of you hearing from others to understand your different perspectives, experiences and opinions.

We have created this page for you to be able to complete the workbook activities collaboratively and see other's comments and contributions. If you would prefer to complete the activities in your own document you can download the workbook or write your responses in the printed workbook provided at the session.

To participate online you will need to log in to this site by clicking the top right hand corner of this page. If you have any problems please contact Tam Nguyen on 9298 8231 or email Tam.Nguyen@knox.vic.gov.au

How to participate

Each section of the workbook is listed below. Click on the 'Read and Contribute' button and it will take you to a sub-page to share your comments on that question. You will be able to respond to comments made by others here as well. A reminder to be considerate and respectful of different views. Once you have added your details you can click on the link back to the workbook at the top of the page to come back to the main workbook screen.

If you have a question for the project team, the final section on this page is an online Q and A. You can upload your question and the project team will share the information online so everyone else can also see the answer.

Our contact information is also on the bottom of the page if you need any assistance or would like reach out offline.

Remit

A reminder the question that you will be considering at our next session and the advice you will be providing to Council:

Knox continues to invest in community facilities and assets. But with a limited budget, rising costs, forecast population increase and more extreme weather events Council needs to prioritise.
Which assets should we prioritise improving to maximise positive outcomes for our community?
How should we spend wisely on our assets and facilities in the future?

Current and Future Community Needs

How are our community's needs changing? What challenges will our community face in the future? How can we better utilise our current assets to meet current and future community needs?

Fair Access and Use

Who uses our community assets? Who might have difficulty accessing or using them? How do different community groups benefit from our assets?

Asset Challenges

How is our climate changing and what does this mean for our assets? What impact will population growth have? How do we continue to provide quality assets given our financial pressures? How are community expectations of assets changing?

Making Choices

How do we choose between different community priorities? What makes an asset valuable to our community? How do we balance maintaining existing assets with building new ones?

Long-term Thinking

What do we want our community assets to be like in 10 years? How might different choices affect future generations? What changes should we plan for?
