Thank you for providing your feedback to us on what makes Upper Ferntree Gully unique. We received a total of 94 responses.

Overwhelmingly, most of the feedback identified nature and environment as the key theme associated with the area.

In addition to this, many comments were also about the importance of the Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteer members and the vital role they play in the community. Upper Ferntree Gully Country Fire Authority (CFA) Brigade is the oldest in Knox. Formed in February 1926, the CFA will celebrate their 100 year anniversary in 2026.

With this in mind, the water tank mural will combine both themes to celebrate the unique natural environment and the important contribution by volunteers of the Upper Ferntree Gully Country Fire Authority.

The timeline for the mural to be undertaken is March 2025 - keep a look out for the new mural next year!
